| Dear Journal, It doesn't look like I will be able to add any pictures to the site today. Not having any luck at the internet cafe. Today was Day 2 of the Bonding Period. What that means is we visit with Logan for 2 hours twice a day for the next 2 or 3 weeks, prior to going to court. This is so that Logan can get to know us and feel comfortable with us. I would say that Logan is very comfortable with his Mommy at this point. However, Daddy is another matter. He was actually much better with me today, than he was yesterday. His preference is definitely Cyndi over me. I suppose you can't blame him. ;-) From what we have been told I am the first man he has ever met. Most of the babies in the orphanage are scared of men not ever having been exposed to them. Yesterday I took my laptop with us and introduced Logan to his family. He got to meet Max and Becca as well as Brandon, Morgan, Ryan, Bradley, Cameron, Nikki, Neil, Jake, Jon and Elizabeth. He thought that Bradley looked like a PUNK!! He also wanted to tell Nikki that he is sorry that he isn't a girl, but he hopes that they can be great friends anyway. :-) He got to meet all of his Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles as well as his "Uncle Murray" with his red motorcycle. We also listened to music on my laptop and we danced. He liked John Lennon's "Beautiful Boy" and seemed to take a strong liking to The Grateful Dead. Not sure if that means anything or not. One of the nurses was humming along to a Beatles song that we were listening to. Amazing how music pulls people from all over the world together. It is great spending time with Logan and hopefully he will soon feel the same way about spending time with his Daddy. It remains hard being away from Max. Sounds like Max is having a ball having sleepovers with his cousins and Aunt & Uncles as well as his Grandparents. The city is much nicer than the city we adopted Max from. Lots more to do and see and the people seem friendlier to us. We actually got to see the little girl "Molly" that we had planned to adopt originally. She is leaving today. Cyndi and I both found it a bit eerie how she stared at us. However, fate had other plans for her and we can't be happier with the child that has now entered our lives. That is all for today. Off to find some toys to take to Logan tomorrow. Maybe I'll get him "Flash on a Motorcyle". What do you think Max? Does that sound like a deal? Larry :-) |
