| Dear Journal, It has been an adventurous 24 hours, but we have made it to the Adoption City. We left Amsterdam yesterday morning and took a 6 hour flight to Almaty. We then took a 7 hour ride to the Adoption City. We got to our hotel room and collapsed for about 4 hours. The city seems nicer than the city we stayed in when we adopted Max. We just exchanged some money and found this internet cafe. The next trick will be to see if I can figure out how to get us back to our hotel. If you ever planning a trip to Kazakhstan, Cyndi and I suggest you fly Lufthansa. It was much nicer then KLM. We understand that a couple of other American couples are staying at the same hotel as us. Tomorrow they go to court to finalize their adoptions. We are anxious to hear of their experiences and hope to better gauge our timeframe after talking to them. Our first trip to the Baby House is tomorrow afternoon. We are about 11 hours ahead of Cleveland time. Not much else to report. Time to see if we can find our hotel. Later On, Larry & Cyndi |
