HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!!!
Dear Journal,

Today is Logan's cousin Ryan's birthday.  Logan wishes he could be in Cleveland to celebrate with Ryan at the Indian's game, but is still dealing with the paperwork in Kazakhstan.  As soon as Logan gets home he plans on celebrating his birthday and Ryan's birthday with all of his new cousins. :-)

I just got off the train and I am now in Almaty.  I spoke with Cyndi and her and Logan and doing fine back in Taraz.  It was a very emotional goodbye at the train station last night.  A very bittersweet feeling leaving Cyndi and Logan behind, but it has been nearly 5 weeks since we have been with Max and we feel it is very important for one of us to get back home and be with him.

Not only was it hard saying goodbye to Cyndi and Logan it was very difficult saying goodbye to our coordinators.  After spending nearly everyday for the past 4 weeks with them we grew very close with them.  In reality the chances are probably quite slim that we will ever see them again, although they promised to come to the states to ride motorcycles with me someday. :-)

Our driver surprised us at airport as well.  He wanted to say goodbye and see if I needed any help getting my luggage loaded on the plane.  It was very kind of him.

Now I am in my apartment in Almaty.  I believe this is where Cyndi and Logan will be staying from the 22nd to the 28th.  It is pretty nice.  It has a washer, Cyndi will be excited about that, a fridge, microwave etc.  I am excited to go to this restaurant called Soho's that Cyndi and I used to go to alot during Max's adoption.  Very good American food.  And I don't think they have horse on the menu. ;-)

Tomorrow is April 13th and it was on April 13th, 2001 that we boarded a plane for Kazakhstan to adopt Max.  Three years to the date I will board a plane to again be with Max.  Although it is unfortunate that we all can't be coming home tomorrow, in just a couple of weeks we will all be together to celebrate the anniversary of Max's adoption and Logan's 1st Birthday. :-)

See ya in the states,
Larry
