| Dear Journal, Remember the first day of our journal? When Larry mentioned this has been "the hardest" adoption? Well, we'd gladly re-do INS taking FOREVER this time to clear us, the Consulate going from a one month processing time to two months, the region going from waiving to not waiving the post court time - we'd do it all again to get our little guy feeling better! He truly isn't bad - I think it is harder on me than him. But this morning they decided to keep him in the hospital for 3-4 days - they feel he wasn't getting better. When we visited him this afternoon, he sounds so much better - his breathing doesn't seem labored - but his color and the circles under his eyes look bad - he probably isn't sleeping well with the cough. :( A possible Silver Lining in all this..... The other day we met a family here - their company does Humanitarian Aid in the country. They have lived here 11 years - 5 of those years in a house without running water. Their home office is in Indiana. In that meeting - the husband mentioned that his wife is a nurse and they mentioned a doctor they use 3 hours away. I sent an email to the gentleman this afternoon - I hope the wife can give me a little insight into the treatment of bronchitis here to make me feel a little better. For as strong as I've been this entire trip - today was my cry my eyes out day! :( They have Logan wrapped in a little cocoon - so he struggles to get his hands free. While we were alone I let them out - his laugh and smile reappeared - but when they took him to feed him - he came back as a cocoon. :( His little hands have bruise and needle marks on them. :( Walking away from him was one of the hardest things I had to do and I made it back to the hotel and just sobbed in Larry's arms. We know he'll be fine - just hard to go through it. Keep prayers &/or good thoughts coming our way! After Monday - the judge can issue a court date - our hopes is to have one quickly - once we have custody - we can travel to see the American doctor 3 hours away if he is still sick. Love, Cyndi |
