| Dear Journal, Today was kind of a bummer. We went for our first visitation with Logan and found out he had developed a cough. It didn't sound too bad, but he wound up sleeping thru the last 1/2 hour of our visit. When we went back for the 3:00pm visit he had developed a fever and his cough was much worse. We found out his whole unit was sick, with Logan and another child being the worse off. They decided that they wanted to take both Logan and the other child to the hospital to have them looked at. It seems that antibiotics are not given to the kids orally, rather they are injected. Logan needs to be taken to the hospital for the next 3 days for his shot of antibiotics. :-( Our morning visits have been cancelled for the next 3 days, but we will visit with him in the afternoon. I'm sure he'll be okay, but you just want to get him home to our doctors in the states. Alot of people have been asking how long we will be here. Our best guess is that we will have our court date in about 2 weeks. At that point we will be allowed to take Logan out of the orphanage. I will be allowed to go home at that point. Once of us will have to stay with Logan in Kazakhstan for about 3 more weeks :-( :-(. Most likely I will be heading home around April 13 or so and Cyndi and Logan will be heading back about two weeks later. Its a long haul. But it was almost as long with Max and looking back it was more than worth it. We feel the same way about Logan. :-) :-) Anyway, not much else to report today. Later On, Larry |
